Phil joined the EnviroCentre in 2022 from his former role as Sustainability Lead and Data & Research Manager at Shepherds of Good Hope, a $14m Ottawa, 250 staff non-profit. Over several years he built up and spearheaded a growing sustainability team achieving successes like an EV strategy, sustainable transportation plan, climate risk centred building conditions assessment and carbon-divested RRSP offerings.
He further acquired experience in climate change mitigation and adaptation as well as cycling strategy and infrastructure development in previous roles in Scotland and Austria. Phil has a passion for community work and is currently the Vice-Chair of Hidden Harvest Ottawa. In his free time, he loves cycling with his family of four in their cargo bike or gleaning fruit.
