When is the awards event?

The awards event will be held in the Fall of 2020.

Can anyone attend?

Yes.  The event is first and foremost a celebration of local sustainable businesses.  There will be speakers, videos, food, music and a chance to network with local movers and shakers.   Come to learn, meet and mingle, and generally enjoy a great night.

Where is it?

The Shaw Centre, 55 Colonel By Dr, Ottawa, K1N 9J2.

Why should I go?

This is your chance to learn about business sustainability, here in town and across the region.  You will mingle local businesses, hear from a series of expert speakers, and learn in multimedia style about Ottawa business sustainability.  The keynote speaker for the evening is the internationally renowned environmental lawyer, Diane Saxe, former Environmental Commissioner of Ontario.

What are the awards?

There two awards: The Climate Mover – Corporate Award; and The Climate Mover – Business Professional Award.  Both awards recognize the local business and local business professionals who most significantly moved the needle on local climate action awareness in 2019.  Candidates for these award categories are nominated by the local business community and selected by a panel of local experts.

Anyone can be nominated for a Climate Mover Award – the more the merrier! 

How do I nominate someone?

Information about the awards can be found here. To nominate a business or business professional submit the Nomination Form to carbon613@envirocentre.ca before the nomination deadline. 

When is the nomination deadline?

We will start collecting nominations in September 2020. The deadline will be announced then.
