Beaverbrook Home Energy Assessments
Are you looking to do some energy efficiency upgrades to your Beaverbrook home? This tool can help!
In 2016, Sustain Kanata North conducted energy assessments on several Beaverbrook homes, representing the various floorplans within the neighbourhood. An energy assessment identifies which upgrades to make to your home to improve its energy efficiency and indoor air quality, making your home healthy and comfortable.
Using the samples provided, anyone living in the same or similar floor plan can use the assessment to help plan and guide their renovations.
The Kanata community of Beaverbrook was designed and built in the 1960’s and 70’s, it’s well known for its tall trees, lush greenery and parks. The founder of Beaverbrook, Bill Teron, was, and is still, a great lover of nature, which he featured prominently in the design of the community. Now, 50 years later, homes of similar floor plans have aged in similar way and show similar energy consumption patterns. This allows for Energy Assessment findings that can be generalized and shared to benefit the entire community!
