The board of directors of EnviroCentre is pleased to announce the hiring of Sharon Coward as the organization’s Executive Director.
In 2019 EnviroCentre will celebrate 20 years of ground-breaking work in local emissions reduction, and we are thrilled to have Sharon’s expertise and leadership to help shape the next chapter of our journey.
Sharon brings to EnviroCentre ten years experience in the community health and social service sectors, with a broad management portfolio including program development, community mobilization, cross-sectoral collaboration, and social innovation. In recent years she has worked with federal, provincial and municipal funders to develop and implement social outreach projects, at the local and regional level. She has a keen interest in the intersection of energy policy and sustainable development, and the practical implications of each for our local communities, both today and for future generations. Sharon is an Ottawa native and is committed to supporting local initiatives in the on-going work toward a collaborative vision for a sustainable National Capital Region.
