envirocentre receives funding from

envirocentre generates most of its revenue from retail clients and utility weatherization programs. Since 2001, it has helped 3,928 low-income households reduce their energy bills and greenhouse gas emissions.

MURBs

EnviroCentre can now evaluate low-rise Multi-Unit Residential Buildings (MURBs) for ecoEnergy grants. One owner can qualify for up to $5,000 from the Government of Canada and another $5,000 from the Province of Ontario. This includes big old houses that have been converted into more than one dwelling unit.

Your MURB must be three storeys or less and not bigger than 600 square metres (about 6,000 square feet). If your building is bigger, please contact Andrew Cole who handles our commercial programs.

Prices for MURBs up to 3,000 square feet in Ottawa (plus GST)

Prices range from $675 to $875 depending on the number of entrances and units.

Additional Charges (plus GST)

Sloped ceilings on second or third floor  $50 extra
MURBs over 3,000 sq. ft. including all common areas (ie. basement, laundry room, etc.)     $25 per 500 sq. ft. over
Extra blower door for really drafty MURBs  $200 extra
